The Drafting Room Taproom & Grille of Exton is teaming up with Yards Brewing Co. to host the upcoming “12th Night of Barleywine” on Tuesday, Jan. 10, with a tap time of 7 pm.
Yards’ Doug Mashington (pictured on left) and the full Philly brewing team set a New Year’s Resolution to celebrate the brewery’s new brew, Olde Bartholomew, by slinging the finely-crafted beer in 12 different restaurants/bars for 12 straight nights. Lucky for locals, part of his 12 days of gallivanting around Philadelphia includes a weeknight kicking it in the suburbs at the Drafting Room, where he’s promised to tap a lineup of special, limited-released pours.
Of course, Olde Bartholomew (coined “Old Bart”) will be the featured pour of the night, a perfect beer for the cold temperatures of January. But, be aware, this limited-edition batch will only be around for a short time. Yards’ only brews it every other year, so join in and start sipping the resurgence of this English-style Barleywine. The full tap list for Tuesday is set to include the following Yards’ brews: Old Bart 2011, Old Bart 2010, Entire Porter, Coffee Stout (cask-conditioned), Love Stout and IPA.
Curious about any or all of the beers that’ll be tapped at Tuesday’s must-attend event? Have yet to try the latest Old Bart?
